The Storm (also known as Storm) is the 8th episode of the fourth season of Drake & Josh.
Synopsis[]
The whole gang has gathered at Drake and Josh's house before Drake's big concert, but thanks to Walter's poor weather predictions they end up stuck in the house due to severe rain. And then Drake's new girlfriend meets all of his ex-girlfriends.
Plot[]
In the opening comments, Drake is busy trimming flowers while Josh is busy rubbing shaving cream on his foot, also showing the viewers the hole in his tongue that was caused by a sneezy dentist who put the scraper on his tongue instead of scraping his teeth as usual.
Josh buys a bus to take Drake, his band, and their friends to their concert (Josh makes no further appearances in this episode), but Walter's inaccurate weather predictions cause an incoming storm to catch them by surprise. So, everyone stays at their house as the show was canceled. The lights eventually go out all over San Diego.
In revenge for Drake giving his drummer one of her shirts, Megan reunites Drake's girlfriend, Carly, and his two ex-girlfriends, Lucy and Christine keep talking and laughing. This makes Drake nervous about the universe "exploding", and he tries to eavesdrop on them.
Gavin flirts with Audrey and Walter's angry boss, Mr. Galloway forces him to go downtown and do a live outdoor weather broadcast, but he is left alone, and 2 men rob him of his shirt and jacket. As the crank on the crankable television breaks off, everyone sings We Will Rock You by Queen, ending the episode.
During the end credits, a thunderstorm is shocked, and Eric thinks he has never seen a storm like this in San Diego.

Trivia[]
- This is the third episode where Drake and Josh's house is the only place shown after Alien Invasion and Sheep Thrills.
- This is the second episode after The Wedding where Josh and Megan don’t appear on screen together.
- This is the second time Dan Mott, Drake Bell and Miranda Cosgrove work together. the first time was in the 2005 movie Yours, Mine & Ours.
- Walter thinks the word touché is pronounced "toosh". He made the same mistake in the episode "Driver's License".
- Drake has a different band in every season.
- Josh only appeared in the opening sequence and the first scene of this episode, marking his most minor appearance in any episode to date. This is the only episode Josh is seen once he heads to the park, making Drake the only character without him. It's because he's at the park and was unable to come home as he was stuck there all night during the rainstorm. Josh is mentioned a few times by Drake talking to him on the phone and Craig and Eric mentioning him about his limeade that he made.
- Drake mentions "Spin City Records" and Gavin mentions "B.F. Wangs", which is a parody of P.F. Chang's.
- Of all the episodes Crazy Steve, Gavin and Helen appear in, including Merry Christmas Drake & Josh, this is the only one where the Premiere Theater isn’t shown.
- At the end of the episode, everyone sings "We Will Rock You". However, on DVDs and international airings, everyone sings "Let's Get This Party Started", presumably due to rights issues.
- Crazy Steve watches the episode "Louder!" from Dora the Explorer which is the 22nd episode from season 3, while most dubbed versions actually use audio from their Dora the Explorer dub. He watches Dora so much while watching her on TV, but he doesn't mention Boots although both Dora and Boots were briefly seen on TV wearing their pajamas instead of their normal clothes.
- Megan puts Drake's girlfriend and two ex-girlfriends together, against his wishes. This is presumably her revenge on Drake for giving Gary (his drummer) one of her shirts without her permission earlier in the episode, though considering all the bad things she has done to him and Josh, her revenge here is relatively mild in comparison.
- This episode can be heard in the iCarly episode iGet Pranky when Spencer is watching TV. Both Spencer and Crazy Steve are portrayed by Jerry Trainor.
- You can tell by the way Walter reluctantly agrees to do the weather broadcast downtown because Mr. Galloway threatened to fire him for his bad weather predictions if he didn't.
- Helen is revealed to be Jewish when she mentions that she went to her niece's Bat Mitzvah. Her religion is recalled in Really Big Shrimp for her wedding.
- This was the first episode to air in 2007.
- This is the only episode where someone other than Drake calls Eric "Craig". In this case, it's Megan, which is ironic given that she's supposed to be very smart.
- Though more than likely, because he is a nerd, she did not care to remember his name just like Drake.
- Megan also appears to be the only one laughing at Eric's peril while everyone else in the party seem concerned.
- The last time this episode aired on TeenNick was March 19, 2014. However, the episode is still currently available to stream on Paramount+. This is the only episode that's not available from Apple TV and iTunes.
Goofs[]
- Audrey was obviously in a state of confusion because of the fact that the roof leaking meant that she would pay a lot to get the ceiling fixed. But it should be noted she almost put Drake's life at risk by trying to make him go up to the roof to fix the leak in the middle of a storm as he could have been badly injured, or even die trying to do so. The same thing could have happened to Eric. Luckily, Eric tied a rope to the chimney to stop him from hitting the ground, as Drake suggested, but they had to do something to fix the leak in the roof, they can't just leave it there.
- Drake said his guitar player was playing in A minor not A7, but he was playing in A major. He also said the bassist was 2 beats behind the whole song. If these slip ups occurred wouldn't Drake have stopped them sooner?
- Josh was throwing the party as a surprise for Drake and his band, but when Drake was talking to Eric about his ex-girlfriends being at the party, Drake said that shouldn't have happened because he invited Carly to the party. How did Drake invite Carly to the party if it was a surprise?
- He could have just invited her to see his band play.
- Megan finds a leak in the house roof so Audrey tells Drake that there's a tarp in the garage and tells him to go and fix it but instead, asks Eric to do it. Drake tells Eric that his mom wants him to go up on the roof to fix the leak, but when Eric is seen hanging from outside the window, Audrey could've asked Drake why Eric is on the roof fixing the leak.
- If it's raining outside and the concert is canceled with the whole stage underwater like Drake mentioned, then why didn't Josh come home during the night?
- It was likely that the storm was so bad that he had to seek refuge somewhere until the rain stops.
- Crazy Steve says that Dora has to find the banana tree, but the episode "Louder!" doesn't have a banana tree in it and was never even supposed to go to one. She and Boots were in their pajamas, and the episode was actually about them going to Highest Hill as their real destination for Red Rooster wanting to "Cock A Doodle Doo" to wake up the sun.
- In reality, Mr. Galloway would've been fired for putting Walter's health at risk.
