Dr. Carlson was Josh's doctor in Paging Dr. Drake. He thought Drake was Dr. Elliot Nussbaum when he first saw him, and he gathers the nurses around Drake so he can tell his life story. Dr. Carlson tells Drake to perform surgery on some woman's foot with everyone watching. At the end of the episode, Dr. Carlson calls the police on Drake for impersonating a doctor when the real Dr. Nussbaum shows up. However, Drake jumps out the window upon their confrontation, and Dr. Carlson presumably opts to not peruse the matter any further.
