Chad Crenshaw is the cousin of Mindy Crenshaw. He’s a minor character, only appearing in one episode "Eric Punches Drake" out of the whole series, when Josh believes he is dating Mindy (after the two recently broke up) and becomes jealous, until Josh finds out that he's just Mindy's cousin. Chad and Mindy messed with Josh by claiming Chad wrote a novel when he was only in the 7th Grade. Oprah Winfrey was so impressed by the novel that she invited him to be on her show, later inviting him for dinner at her house. Chad also pretended to receive a call from the president of the United States by congratulating him on his success.
