Inicios[]
Estudió en la Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts y en la Universidad de East Anglia.
Carrera[]
Entre sus papeles más conocidos figura su aparición en la saga de Indiana Jones como Sallah, el amigo del protagonista, también como el profesor changeller en las películas de Lost World and Return to the lost world, la serie de "sliders" con su personaje del profesor Max Arturo, y el personaje de Gimli en el film El Señor de los Anillos.
